Every room comes with a flatscreen TV with free Sky TV channels and fast WiFi is available throughout the hotel. In addition to this service you will find also "suitpads" (tablets) in each room with many useful informations and direkt access to the internet. The hotel Capricorno is connected to a 100 Mbit glass-fiber-cabel.
We have also thought of a solution for smokers at our non-smoking hotel; rooms with balconies are perfect for enjoying this little guilty pleasure while watching the hustle and bustle on Schwedenplatz.

Perfect stay at The Hotel Capricorno
We stayed for five nights in a double room with balcony overlooking Schwedenplatz.
The previous reviews we had read led us to believe that this hotel suited our needs and it certainly did. As many have said, it's in a great location for transport and also 'walkability' to the main sights in the innere stadt. If you don't want to eat in a restaurant every night, there are various fast food places in Schwedenplatz just outside the hotel. We tried the Kasekreiner sausage, noodles and doner kebabs. There are lots of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We did request before we arrived, if we could have tea/ coffee making facilities, which was no problem and I also asked if we could have an iron and board, though there was no rush. It appeared about five minutes later.
The black out curtains were great and when the windows/ balcony door as closed the double glazing kept out any road noise. It was quite warm when we were there, so we used the aircon a little and that worked perfectly. Importantly, the bed was very comfortable and so we slept well.
The breakfasts were very good. Lovely breads, rolls, cheeses hams, fruit, pastries etc. So nice to have eggs made to order. My soft boiled eggs were perfect every time. Proper water temperature for tea, and very nice coffee also provided by service from the friendly and very efficient breakfast team. The ability to have afternoon tea/ coffee with cake between 3 - 6pm was also an added bonus.
The staff we encountered were all excellent. It is clear that they do care about the hotel and it's clients. As the hotel is not too big ,along with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, it provided a real personal feel, which we liked.
We decided , rather last minute, that we wanted to see a music performance on our last evening. My husband went to chat with the guy at reception, who kindly suggested and booked for us, the Wiener Mozart Konzerte in the Golden Hall at The Musikverein. It turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We booked the cheapest seats but when we swapped our voucher from the hotel for a ticket at the venue, we were upgraded free of charge to what we felt were the best in the house! If you aren't a particular music/ opera buff, this performance is ideal, nothing too heavy or lengthy. Finishing off with the Blue Danube and The Radetzky March, which everyone knows. Do use the reception staff to book anything, it was a real help to us and led to a stress free evening.
There is nothing we could find fault with the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to our friends should they visit Vienna.
